Machine and post requirements matter
Remote CNC programming needs a clear understanding of the target machine, control, tooling, post processor and proving arrangements. These details are reviewed before CAM work is accepted.
For customers that mainly need design, drawings or DFM, CAM can remain an optional supporting service rather than a requirement.
Typical inputs and deliverables
Useful inputs may include the component model and drawing, material, target machine and control, available tooling, workholding information, post-processor details and the customer's proving arrangements. The exact CAM files, setup information or process notes required are agreed during scoping.
Useful as supporting or overflow work
A customer may use RoseGrid for CAD and drawings, then add 3-axis CAM or process input when a suitable project requires it or internal programming capacity is stretched. CAM is assessed case by case and is not positioned as the main RoseGrid service.
